Kota Doria is the name of a light weight fabric made of tiny woven squares and made exquisite with handblock prints and Zari Border. The Kota Doria Sarees are crafted on fine Silk, Cotton, or a blend of these two fibres. The cotton strengthens the fabric, while silk makes it more lustrous and provides a softer touch to the fabric. Only Natural Colours used.
Work: Pithani ia embroidery that originated in the Paithan town in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Paithani is characterised by borders of an oblique square design, and a padar with a peacock design. Plain as well as spotted designs are available.
